Courtesy listing for Carol Burt NIKKI - Nikki is a purebred female Dachshund approximately 7 years old. She was rescued from Ramona Shelter in San Jacinto in early June. Her owners left her at the shelter because they did not have the funds for Mammary Cancer surgery. Since surgery, we had the outside area of the tumors biopsied and it returned clear. There is no sign of cancer left and Nikki has been given approval by her vet to be adopted. I have never heard her growl, I have only heard her bark a few times, she shares her food and water (which is nearly unheard of for a Doxie) and snuggles under the covers at my feet every night. Nikki is up to date on her shots, has been dewormed, and is fully house trained. She would make an excellent apartment dog, a single dog or a dog in a home with others.
